What We Publish

We accept guest contributions in four content categories. Each has different requirements, word count expectations, and pay rates. Read each carefully before pitching.

⚠️

We do not accept: store reviews or brand profiles (these are produced in-house), purely promotional content, articles already published elsewhere, AI-generated articles, or content in any category other than the four listed above. Pitches outside these categories will not receive a response.

Contributor Pay Tiers

We pay for quality. Articles that meet our standards and demonstrate genuine expertise are compensated. Here is how our contributor tiers work:

Tier 1 — New Contributor

Free

Exposure + Backlink

  • Published byline & author bio
  • 1 do-follow backlink
  • Social media amplification
  • Newsletter inclusion (if selected)
  • First-time contributors only

Tier 2 — Standard

$50–$100

Per published article

  • All Tier 1 benefits
  • Paid on publication via PayPal
  • For articles 800–1,500 words
  • Must meet all editorial standards
  • Available after first accepted piece

Tier 3 — Premium

$100–$200

Per published article

  • All Tier 2 benefits
  • For in-depth guides 1,500+ words
  • Requires demonstrated expertise
  • Priority review & editing support
  • By invitation or strong track record

💡

Your first article is published under Tier 1 regardless of quality — this is how we establish the relationship. If your first piece meets our standards, you are automatically eligible for Tier 2 on your next submission. Tier 3 is offered to contributors with 3+ published pieces and consistently strong performance.

Editorial Standards & Guidelines

We hold all contributor content to the same standard as our in-house editorial team. Read the following carefully — submissions that do not follow these guidelines will be declined without detailed feedback.

Content Requirements

Write for a US audience. Use USD, US retailers, US-specific services (Amazon, Target, Walmart, Costco, etc.), and American English spelling and conventions.

Be specific and practical. Every saving tip, how-to step, or product comparison must include concrete details — exact percentages, named tools, specific steps. No vague generalities.

Include a clear structure with an introduction, organized sections (using H2 and H3 headings), and a conclusion with a clear takeaway or call to action.

Cite your sources. Any statistics, claims, or data points must link to a credible primary source — government data, academic research, reputable news outlets, or official brand announcements.

Disclose any conflicts of interest. If you have an affiliate relationship with any product, tool, or service you mention, you must disclose this in your submission email.

What We Will Not Accept

AI-generated content. We use detection tools and manual review. Any article substantially generated by AI (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Jasper, etc.) will be declined immediately and the contributor will be permanently blacklisted.

Previously published content. All submissions must be 100% original and must not have been published — in full or in part — on any other website, blog, newsletter, or platform.

Promotional articles. Articles that exist primarily to promote a specific brand, product, or service without genuine editorial value will be declined. Mentioning products is fine — writing an ad disguised as an article is not.

Thin content. Articles under 800 words, listicles with no explanation, or content that simply rephrases information already available elsewhere without adding new insight or value.

Unsolicited backlink insertion. You may include one contextually relevant link to your own website in your author bio only. Any attempt to insert additional self-promotional or third-party links into the body of the article will result in immediate rejection.

Topic Ideas to Get You Started

Not sure what to pitch? Here are example topics that fit our content categories and that we would genuinely consider. These are not reserved — they are inspiration only.

Tip: The best pitches come with a specific angle and a concrete outline — not just a topic title. Tell us what makes your take different from what already exists on the internet. A pitch like "How to Save on Groceries" is weak. "How I Cut My Grocery Bill by 35% Using One Simple Sunday Habit" is strong.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be an experienced writer to contribute?

No — but you need to know your subject. We value genuine expertise and personal experience over polished writing technique. If you have real knowledge about saving money, deal hunting, or a specific product category, and you can communicate it clearly, we are interested. Our editors will help with style and structure, but we cannot create expertise from thin air.

Can I include links to my own website or affiliate links in the article?

You get one do-follow link to your website — placed in your author bio, not in the body of the article. Affiliate links within the article body are not permitted. Any links to third-party products or services within the article must be relevant, non-commercial, and approved by our editorial team. We add our own affiliate links to product mentions where applicable.

How long does it take to get a response after I submit?

We respond to every submission within 5 business days — either with a decision, a request for more information, or a request for a full draft if you submitted a pitch. If you have not heard from us after 7 business days, it is fine to send a brief follow-up email referencing your original submission.

Can I submit an article that has already been published on my blog?

No. All submissions must be 100% original and unpublished anywhere — including your own blog, Medium, LinkedIn, or any other platform. We run every submission through plagiarism and duplicate content detection. Previously published content will be declined immediately, regardless of quality.

 Will you edit my article?

Yes. All published articles go through our copy editor for grammar, clarity, style consistency, and SEO optimization. We may adjust headings, restructure sections, or add internal links. We do not rewrite your article or change your core argument. We will share the final edited version with you before it goes live, and you have 48 hours to flag any factual errors or significant concerns.

Can I write on multiple topics or submit multiple articles?

Yes — there is no limit on the number of articles you can submit, and strong contributors are actively encouraged to pitch regularly. Please submit one article at a time and wait for a decision before sending a second. Once you have 3 or more published articles, we will discuss adding you to our regular contributor roster with faster review times and access to Tier 3 pay rates.
